Personal training with intent

Nothing to fill the hour,
everything to move you on

Plenty of training is just activity: it passes the time and tires you out. Here, every session has a job, and if an exercise cannot justify its place, it is not in the plan.

  • In person
  • Online
  • Remote programme

The approach

Every choice has a reason

Four rules that decide what goes into a session and what gets cut.

  • One clear job per session

Each session is aimed at something specific, so you always know what you are there to do.

  • Nothing for show

If an exercise is only there because it looks impressive, it does not make the cut.

  • You can explain it

You should be able to say why you are doing each movement. If you cannot, we have not finished talking.

  • Tired is not the target

Exhaustion is easy to produce and proves nothing. Progress is the measure.

The method

Aim, train, check

Four steps that keep the plan honest.

  1. Step 1: Set the intent

We agree what the next stretch of training is actually for, in plain terms.

  2. Step 2: Build around it

Exercises are chosen because they serve that aim, not because they are popular.

  3. Step 3: Train deliberately

During the session you know the purpose of each block, so the effort lands where it should.

First step

What is your training for?

If the answer is not obvious, that is exactly where a first conversation helps.
